The first step in phonics is understanding sounds- beginning sounds- the first sound you hear in a word. Since, it is the introduction to phonics, I do stress a lot on these and use various games, activities and beginning sounds worksheets so my little learners can master beginning sounds.
Today, I am sharing a beginning sounds worksheets pack with you which is sure to teach as well as challenge our learners.
Our little learners can colour the letter and its beginning sound. I like trying rainbow writing with kids and they enjoy it. Then, circle the letter and its sound. Next is the tracing the letter and its sound section. After that, we write the letter and its sound in blocks.
The last section is pasting the beginning sound pictures. Please cut the 6 picture tiles. Five of them begin with the beginning sound we are doing. One does not. Stick the ones that begin in the space provided. Colour the pictures!
I use colour pencils with my preschool and kindergarten kids for these worksheets. It is a comprehensive worksheet to practice beginning sound with kids.
This pack is a subscriber freebie. Please enter your first name and e-mail address to download it.
